Gorillaz: Reject False icons pack. “I woke up one morning in a hotel in Beijing. There was nothing there except for fog up to the window, ” recalls Damon Albarn during a London recording session for Gorillaz 2017 album ‘Humanz. “So then I called down to reception. ‘Wheres the world gone? I asked. ‘At the moment, sir, the world does not exist. ” This apocalyptic, existentialist theme hangs heavy in Gorillaz music. That we are introduced to it so early on in Reject False Icons, the feature documentary film that traces the “wondrous chaos” of the band over the last three years, is no surprise. What is striking, however, is just how alive this band is, unmasked from its central virtual characters by a dizzying display of revolving real-life musicians. Denholm Hewlett (the son of Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz animator and co-creator) crafts this documentary with natural flair and invites viewers to drop in on his fly-on-the-wall debut. We follow a loosely chronological timeline from the beginnings of the ‘Humanz recording sessions (Act One) in 2015 through to the bands ambitious Humaz world tour (Act Two) as well as the recording of the groups latest album, 2018s ‘The Now Now (Act Three. It hits you just how many people are involved in the Gorillaz project as a whole (Albarn counts “more than 100”. Beyond Albarn, for the first time we get to know the various people who are behind the virtual facades of 2-D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel a little more – from snoozing touring musicians pranked into believing theyve missed soundcheck (poor Seye Adelekan) to playful arguments between Albarn and Hewlett about which songs to keep on ‘The Now Now. But these vignettes are all too brief. For the most part Reject False Icons is an unceremonious behind-the-scenes glimpse into the workings of a busy band. Theres no extra commentary from the famously political Albarn beyond a few snatches (him saying off-camera that “the unimaginable” happened in reference to Donald Trumps election, for instance. Instead, the documentary flits between brilliantly visceral live clips from the world tour and Demon Dayz festivals (replete with incendiary guest performances by Little Simz, Vince Staples, Pusha T, Peven Everett and more) and black and white studio sessions overlaid with Hewletts animations. Reject False Icons isnt some companion piece to provide a deeper understanding of Gorillaz fictional dystopian-like world. Nor does it pretend to be. Fans and casual viewers alike will find much to enjoy in watching Albarn interact with producers, touring bandmates and an A+ guestlist of musicians including Mavis Staples and George Benson. It may lack in personal revelations, but it makes up for that as a vibrant celebration of one of Britains most idiosyncratic and inventive bands. Being a long time Gorillaz fan and loving the Bananaz documentary I was really looking forward to seeing this film.
This documentary captures the recording and tours of Humanz and The Now Now.
I would have liked to have seen more behind the scenes studio content and less concert footage. Also found it frustrating only hearing 20 second snippets of their songs.
Highlights of the film include the version of Busted and Blue with Kelela and Albarn's performance of Cloud of Unknowing.

[1] The band primarily consists of four animated members: Stuart "2-D" Pot, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. Their fictional universe is presented in music videos, interviews and short cartoons. In reality, Albarn is the only permanent musical contributor, and often collaborates with other musicians. With Gorillaz, Albarn departed from the distinct Britpop of his band Blur through hip hop, electronic music, and world music through an "eccentrically postmodern " approach. [2] The band's 2001 debut album Gorillaz went triple platinum in the UK and double platinum in Europe and earned the group an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Successful Virtual Band. [3] It was nominated for the Mercury Prize, but the nomination was withdrawn at the band's request. [14] History [ edit] Creation (1990–1999. edit] Musician Damon Albarn and comic creator Jamie Hewlett met in 1990 when guitarist Graham Coxon, a fan of Hewlett's work, asked him to interview Blur, a band Albarn and Coxon had recently formed. [15] The interview was published in Deadline magazine, home of Hewlett's comic strip Tank Girl. Hewlett initially thought Albarn was "arsey, a wanker" despite becoming acquaintances with the band, they often did not get on, especially after Hewlett began seeing Coxon's ex-girlfriend Jane Olliver. [15] Despite this, Albarn and Hewlett started sharing a flat on Westbourne Grove in London in 1997. [16] Hewlett had recently broken up with Olliver and Albarn was at the end of his highly publicised relationship with Justine Frischmann of Elastica. [15] The idea to create Gorillaz came about when Albarn and Hewlett were watching MTV. Hewlett said, If you watch MTV for too long, it's a bit like hell – there's nothing of substance there. So we got this idea for a virtual band, something that would be a comment on that. 17] The band originally identified themselves as "Gorilla" and the first song they recorded was "Ghost Train. 18] which was later released as a B-side on their single " Rock the House " and the B-side compilation G Sides. The musicians behind Gorillaz' first incarnation included Albarn, Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator and Kid Koala, who had previously worked together on the track "Time Keeps on Slipping" for Deltron 3030 's eponymous debut album. [22] The Phi Life Cypher version of "Clint Eastwood" appears on the B-side album G Sides. [28] Rumours were circulating at this time that the Gorillaz team were busy preparing a film, but Hewlett said that the film project had been abandoned: We lost all interest in doing it as soon as we started meeting with studios and talking to these Hollywood executive types, we just weren't on the same page. We said, fuck it, we'll sit on the idea until we can do it ourselves, and maybe even raise the money ourselves. 29] Demon Days (2004–06. edit] The album Demon Days was released on 11 May 2005. [63] In April 2012, Albarn told The Guardian that he and Hewlett had fallen out and that future Gorillaz projects were "unlikely. 64] Tension between the two had been building, partly due to a belief held by Hewlett that his contributions to Gorillaz were being diminished. Speaking to The Guardian in April 2017, Hewlett explained: Damon had half the Clash on stage, and Bobby Womack and Mos Def and De La Soul, and fucking Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Bashy and everyone else. It was the greatest band ever. And the screen on stage behind them seemed to get smaller every day. Id say, ‘Have we got a new screen? and the tour manager was like, ‘No, its the same screen. Because it seemed to me like it was getting smaller. 65] On 25 April 2012, in an interview with Metro, Albarn was more optimistic about Gorillaz' future, saying that once he had worked out his differences with Hewlett, he was sure that they would make another record. I'd love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week. 75] Speaking about his relationship with Hewlett, Albarn said that the pair's well-publicized fall-out has helped their relationship in the long term. [76] In October 2015, Albarn revealed to Rolling Stone that he and Hewlett were working on a new Gorillaz album. [77] In April 2016, Hewlett uploaded two video clips onto his Instagram showing the continued work on the album. He mentioned enjoying the spontaneity of recording and debuting music while on tour, similarly to the band's 2010 release The Fall, but expressed desire to make it a comparatively more "complete" record, adding that "If we're going to do more with Gorillaz we don't want to wait seven years because, y'know, we're getting on a bit now. 108] At the end of the same month on 30 September 2017 while touring for Humanz, the band debuted a new song in Seattle called "Idaho. Hewlett confirmed later on in December 2017 that the band planned to release a follow-up album to Humanz in 2018, citing a desire to keep the band going rather than take any prolonged breaks as the band had usually done with previous projects. [2] The band's aesthetic and general approach has been described as postmodern. [2] According to AllMusic Gorillaz blend Britpop and hip-hop, 149] while The Guardian described the band as "a sort of dub /hip-hop/ lo-fi indie/ world music hybrid. 150] According to PopMatters, the band's early work foreshadowed "the melding of hip-hop, rock, and electronic elements in pop music" that grew in significance in the next decade. [151] Live performances [ edit] Gorillaz performed Demon Days at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York in April 2006. In March 2001, Gorillaz played their first show at the Scala in London before embarking on a tour later that summer, with one date in Paris and two in Japan. The show, called Gorillaz Live, saw the live band playing behind a giant projector screen which covered the whole stage, on which was projected various visuals and images created by Hewlett. After taking a short break over the holidays, the tour resumed with a North American leg in February 2002. [152] In November 2005, Gorillaz performed Demon Days Live, a five night residency at the Manchester Opera House in Manchester, England in which the album Demon Days was presented in its entirety. The event was filmed by an EMI film crew for a DVD release, Demon Days Live, in late March 2006. It was later announced that an American version of the event would take place in April 2006 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Within an hour of release tickets were sold out. [153] The show of 6 April was filmed for a live webcast at MSN Video. [154] Palladia (then known as MHD) also broadcast an Apollo Theater show in HDTV on 31 December 2006. [155] Gorillaz performing at the Roundhouse in London, April 2010 In March 2010, Gorillaz began a short six date tour as "rehearsal" shows for their headlining slot at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The shows were open exclusively to Gorillaz Sub Division fan club members and featured no visuals whatsoever. These performances were the band's first public performances in four years. Gorillaz headlined the final night of the Coachella Festival on 18 April 2010 as their first proper, full show. On 27 April they were the main guests on Later. with Jools Holland on the BBC. In addition, Gorillaz played a two-night residency at London's Camden Roundhouse (29 and 30 April 2010. Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of the Clash performed guitar and bass respectively with the band and more than once in the evening chords from the Clash song " Guns of Brixton " were heard as a subtle reference to their presence. [156] Gorillaz embarked on the Escape to Plastic Beach Tour in October 2010, with some concerts preceding festival dates in the summer, such as at the Byblos Festival in Lebanon, the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, headlining the Glastonbury Festival in England and one show at the Citadel of Damascus in Syria. [157] 158] The tour took them across North America in October, Europe in November, and finally through Australia, New Zealand, and with one date in Hong Kong in December. [159] During the final show of the tour at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on 21 December 2010, Albarn announced that it would be their final show with the Plastic Beach line up. [160] On 8 July 2017, Gorillaz embarked upon the Humanz Tour, the band's second world tour and first since 2010. With 53 scheduled shows and lasting over a year, it was Gorillaz' longest tour in their history. [161] On 6 December, Gorillaz announced they would be playing BoomTown Fair as an "exclusive one-off UK show. 162] After 53 performances, on 30 March 2018, Humanz Tour concluded in São Paulo, Brazil. [163] The tour was followed almost immediately by The Now Now Tour, starting in June 2018 in Nuremberg, Germany. On 20 October, Gorillaz played " Song 2 " by Blur, at the Demon Dayz Festival, with Graham Coxon, in Los Angeles, California. [164] After 29 performances, on 24 October, The Now Now Tour concluded, in Mexico City. [165] 166] The Now Now Tour had participations of The Internet and Little Dragon. Gorillaz reject false icons columbus. Its almost like noodle and russel switched personalities s p o o k y. Gorillaz remain a point of inspiration in British music. A truly multi-media, cross platform endeavour, the project's 2018 album 'The Now Now' saw them work alongside a host of guests under the supervision of producer James Ford. Released to ecstatic acclaim, it saw Gorillaz link with everyone from rap force Little Simz to George Benson, as well as mending bridges with Noel Gallagher. New film Gorillaz: Reject False Icons documents aspects of the creative process, with director Denholm Hewlett gaining unheard of access. Moving between animated and physical realms, it features Gorillaz founders Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett at work in the studio, alongside a roll call that features a few of their lauded guests. A space where the virtual meets the real, Gorillaz: Reject False Icons is out tonight - December 16th - as part of a global screening event. Clash writer Milo Wasserman caught an up-front glimpse of the film - here's what he gleaned from it... 1. Gorillaz are one big, big family As Damon Albarn attests, over 100 actors, musicians and artists have been involved in the Gorillaz musical output across 'Humanz' and 'The Now Now' as well as the world tour this film chronicles. Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn makes a few appearances, mainly cracking a few gags and doing some surreal voice work. Kali Uchis, Mavis Staples, Danny Brown, Vince Staples, Jenny Beth and many, many others come and go. Gorillaz have a pull that not many artists could command - everyone wants in. More importantly, for those involved there are positive vibes everywhere. Their togetherness is clear as they all join, arms interlocked, in a circle of positivity before every show. 2. Damon Albarn is as infectiously enthusiastic, charismatic and charming as ever The gold tooth, the goofy smile, the energy. Its all there, and its easy to see how Albarn carries his merry circus. Even when they only had five weeks to record 'The Now Now' in the middle of a world tour, we never saw any sign of personality clashes, issues in the relationship between sound and image, or tour induced exhaustion. The man is a force of nature. 3. Peven Everett is electric, on and off the stage Out of all the talented artists involved in the film, one stands out: Peven Everett. Getting to know Chicago Royalty Everett throughout the movie, he comes across as eminently likeable, infectiously enthusiastic and, obviously, enviably talented. He is certainly an able to deputy to the late Bobbie Womack. Everett is the sort of guy you would work with in a heartbeat. And introduce to your mum. 4. Jamie Hewlett's artwork is stunning, but there could be more on show… Okay, so we all knew this. For over 20 years weve salivated over Hewlett Sr. s work in bringing to life the original four Gorillaz concept characters. And having waited so many years for a film (this is the second after Ceri Levys 2008 piece Bananaz) we were hoping to get more of a behind-the-scenes look at Jamie Hewletts creative process. However, Reject False Icons prioritises studio footage over a deeper look at how the visuals are created. Maybe Hewlett Jr. wanted to make sure Dad didnt become the star of the show. 5. Denholm Hewlett is still raw This was a big opportunity for Denholm Hewlett to make an early name for himself. Given how instantly recognisable and distinct Gorillaz artwork is, there was always going to be pressure on Denholm as a film maker to firmly step out of his fathers shadow. After all, no one wants to be known as Someone Elses Kid. In the end, the story lacked cohesion. It is hard to gain a real insight into the inner workings of Gorillaz when the film is largely a series of vignettes of Albarn and his merry crew larking around in the studio. In short, the final cut feels more like a sentimental, unprovocative journey than a revealing glimpse into what makes the band tick. Are Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle and Russel are being fazed out. One noticeable absence from the film was the, rightly iconic, original conceptual band members. Evolution is inevitable, and after 20 years Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle and Russel are gradually being overwhelmed. To say they are being marginalised feels crude, although maybe were just feeling a touch nostalgic. Were not suggesting all good things come to an end, maybe they just evolve. Gorillaz 3a reject false icons lyrics. Gorillaz reject false icons song. I ts surprising, given the virtual pop-band conceit, that there wasnt a full-length animated Gorillaz film years ago. But Reject False Icons, after Ceri Levys Bananaz from 2008, is the second “behind the scenes” documentary. Its telling: Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel have slowly been overwhelmed in the course of the projects two-decade history by its operational reality – which now verges on, as this film points out, 100 contributors. Making up for the fact that illustrator Jamie Hewletts gargoyle-ish ensemble are present only in flashy cutaways, his son Denholm gets to prowl behind the scenes on recording sessions for recent back-to-back albums Humanz and The Now Now, and the world tour that Damon Albarn s funky omnibus packed in around them. The downside of family involvement is that everything is strictly sanctioned. Albarn jokes in an after-credits scene about the directorial whippersnapper exposing all his “idiosyncrasities”. But they amount here to nothing more than being perpetually on muso cloud nine, orchestrating, among others, Mavis Staples, Little Simz, actor Ben Mendelsohn and one-time nemesis Noel Gallagher in the studio and on stage. Albarns capering, grufty mug and gold tooth make him resemble some mixing-desk Steptoe though, generally, he seems a lot happier than the self-regarding figure who sometimes appeared in Britpop documentaries. If there were personality clashes, we dont see them, nor is there any inquiry into the bands USP, the relationship between sound and image, or how Albarn corrals his collaborators. Hewlett opts for a nippy edit, never lingering on any vignette or performance. Which stops us savouring any single musical highlight – though Peven Everett, with his lightning-bolt vocals, has an energising effect, a more-than-able deputy for the late Bobby Womack. Its ironic that the film doesnt just reject false icons but, to some extent, the bands cartoon avatars, too; in prioritising Gorillaz meatspace, it inadvertently confirms the marginalisation of the original concept. Still, with Hewlett Jr often chronicling events in cool monochrome, shooting in close proximity if not exactly total intimacy, this snappy scrapbook tips the hat to the infectious creativity of Albarns travelling circus. • Gorillaz: Reject False Icons is release on 16 December. • This article was amended on 18 December 2019. An earlier version misspelled the names of the Gorillaz members Murdoc and Russel as “Murdoch” and “Russell”.

For this was the unlikely genesis for Gorillaz, the Worlds Most Succesful Virtual Band. Hewlett explains: ‘Damon and I were living together in a flat on Westbourne Grove (in London) and he bought one of the first plasma screens. It was one of those massive ones where we could watch ten channels at the same time, which we did on a big leather couch.  The pair lost hours watching MTV in particular, which induced in them a growing frustration at what they saw as vertiginous decline in pop culture at the time.  ‘It wasnt the videos as such, it was the bands. They were so phony and manufactured and they were so clearly playing up to it. It was almost as if in order to be a sellable commodity you had to adapt a character also. Which is fine, but why cant they do it well? The Monkees were a manufactured band, but they were brilliant. So my question to Damon was, If its manufactured, why cant people do it properly? And with that question hanging in the air, the duo set to work. Albarn created the music- a superb collision of musical styles which ram raided the very best chapters of the Pop Encyclopaedia, from reggae to country to psychedelia and dub. And Hewlett designed the band, a quartet of characters with outrageous back stories and outsized personalities to boot. 2D was the charismatic but vacuous frontman and keyboardist, constantly locking horns with the contemptuous bassist Murdoc Niccals. Ten year old Noodle was on guitars, and Russel Hobbs was on drums and percussion, while also possessed of the ability to channel the souls of dead rappers from a fictional hip-hop canon. Together they looked like the coolest group that (n)ever lived, making music and hanging out at the legendary HQ Kong Towers. The characters were impeccable and the concept immaculate but, crucially, unlike other virtual pop bands such as The Archies, Gorillaz had the killer tunes to match, and soon enough this theoretical band became a very real worldwide success. Heralded by the hits ‘Clint Eastwood and ‘19-2000′, the eponymous debut album shot to number 3 in the UK charts, selling over five million copies worldwide. It was outdone, however, by its successor Demon Days, which topped the UK charts on release and ended up going platinum five times over; the third album, Plastic Beach, entered the charts at number 2. And then there was also a fourth album, The Fall, released as a free download on the Gorillaz website to fans in the Sub Division fan club. The band broke records in the US, Europe, Australia and beyond, spawned toys and clothing lines, netted Brit and MTV Awards and even, for Hewlett, a Designer of the Year Award from Londons Design Museum in 2006. With Gorillaz, Albarn and Hewlett didnt so much push the boundaries of what a band could be as redefine the musical landscape entirely. There is no doubt that the pair more than accomplished what they set out to do- which was to bring about a massive paradigm shift in pop music, and make it cool, credible and relevant for a new generation of impressionable young music fans. ‘Thats why we brought people like Del the Funky Homosapien, Lou Reed, Mos Def and Shaun Ryder on board… When kids like something they tend to immerse themselves in that whole world, so why not make it really cool? I like the thought of a teenager listening to Demon Days and maybe discovering Dennis Hopper and then years later, going on to track down his films. Because thats what kids do, isnt it? ”  - Jamie Hewlett Artbook. Happy Birthday to the amazing Gorillaz documentary, Bananaz. 🎉 This documentary really is brilliant; its so interesting and funny, and you can really feel the amount of hard work and love Damon and Jamie and the entire crew went through and continue to go through- Yet it doesnt take itself too seriously. They fight, dance, smoke, travel, goof around, vomit, talk about underwear, laugh at the audience… Its so real and super enjoyable. Its just such a fun time and perfectly shows the audience what Gorillaz is all about. Music, art, dedication, fun, and just some guys fucking around to create something cool, which ended up becoming a world wide success. ❤️ Old but Gold. ✨ Jamie & Damon presenting ‘Gorillaz: Reject False Icons' at The Gate Picturehouse in Notting Hill (15 December 2019. X] Went to see Reject False Icons and really, really enjoyed it. The film was not really what I was expecting; it was mostly crew-focused and felt more like watching home-movies–which in my opinion was quite lovely. Hearing some of the live versions of the songs made me crave seeing Gorillaz live even more than before and seeing the bond between all the performers just gave such a feeling of warmth. Everything is gonna be okay, even if it feels like everything is horrible right now.  Also: release a tour dvd/cd, Damon. DO IT. Yes, yes, yes, finally. Gorillaz reject false icons chicago. ¿Va a ver merch? Palomeras, vasos, llaveros, etc. Gorillaz reject false icons dvd. Gorillaz reject false icons 2019. Im getting real “dont starve together” vibes from this ngl. Gorillaz reject false icons reaction. Gorillaz reject false icons. Gorillaz reject false icons full. Reject False Icons is a film which is a real treat for fans of Gorillaz. In short, the film covers the making of "Humanz" and "The Now Now" while their Humanz Tour took place during 2017 and 2018. The entire film is shot in black/white, with some exceptions here and there. It gives a nice touch.
The film itself does not have any commentary or offers any, and as such, the movie goes on in showing highlights of their tour and composing of the albums. It's really interesting to see how Damon and Jamie have worked a lot the past 20 years on Gorillaz, and if I am honest, the movie sparkled the light and made me remember why I love Gorillaz in the first place.
The band has become from a 3 man team to a full-fledged 100+ family. Gorillaz has become such a diverse band and has a criminal record of collaborations around the world. During the clips you saw while the album Humanz was made, you could see and feel the excitement of the entire team during production. They were on fire, had passion, and made the thing as good as it can be. It's a bunch of people working on new projects, while the hyperrealistic nature of the 4 characters is always put first. The band is one of the best that are out there and just started after 2 people sat on a couch and said "Let's make a band" intending to criticise the music industry with each of the characters resembling an oversaturation of a tribe.
The film included a lot of live performances from various albums and paid tribute to Ibrahim Ferrer (Latin Simone, also known for Buena Vista Social Club in Kuba. Bobby Womack (Stylo) which was one of the best moments in the film. It showed respects to so many talented people, everyone was treated equally and shown in the film at least thrice. There were a lot of unique artists being on stage and behind the scenes.
The film had some honourable mentions, including:

  • Damon sneezing on-stage, never happened to him once.
  • Him visiting a musical group which made their instruments out of reusable material, and got handed a custom made violin
  • Him screaming into the camera like a madman and playing a banana like a saxophone afterwards
  • The Now Now took only 5 weeks and was recorded during the break of the Humanz tour

As of their tour, they have performed 96 times over 2 years and played music as high as over a week worth.
Reject False Icons is a documentary which shows character, charm, and love for the band we know.

That one person who disliked the video clearly has no life. It's 1:30 in the morning 6 years later and I'm here still trying to figure out what Little Dragon is saying at the end (soon like a wave empires will osing in on. They're building a wall. no matter I still love her and Damon to bits.

Φαινεται πολυ καλο! Μακαρι να ειναι. One of my all-time favorite stories. I watch every version that I can. Can't wait to see this one too. Really looking forward to crying through this one. Loving it. ❤. Τέλεια. Μου αρέσει πολύ. FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY GIRL. LOVE HER 😍. JOEY: Ah, now Rach, these ah, these little women. RACHEL: Yeah. JOEY: How little are they? I mean, are they like scary little? 😂😂😂.

My life goal: You're not married. That because I'm rich. Εννοείται πως όλοι ανυπομονούμε να το δούμε. Καρυοφυλλιά Καραμπέτη η Μέριλ Στριπ της Ελλάδας. 1994: a masterpiece 😭😭😭 2019: Timothee Chalamet ♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍😍. ΕΞΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΗ ερμηνεία τραγουδιού. I just hope they do Amy justice. Such a wonderful, underestimated character. I love Jo as much as the next person, but Amys character arc has always been one of my favorite things.

*Youre not married *THAT BECAUSE IM RICH. I love it when soairse and timothee works in projects like this. Well that's because I'm rich lol. Little Women: Writer/Director Greta Gerwig puts her stamp on this adaptation from the opening scene. Jo March (Saoirse Ronan) is obviously Louisa May Alcott as she sells a story to the publisher Dashwood (Tracy Letts) her clothing is more obviously masculine, unusual for the times, even a tad too hipsterish, in keeping more with the way Alcott would have dressed. Later the fourth wall disappears totally as Dashwood and Jo negotiate the ending of Little Women. The complex triangle between Jo, Amy March (Florence Pugh) and Laurie Laurence (Timothy Chalamet) is deftly handled. Jo's reticence/ love towards Laurie is expressed through gestures and facial expressions rather words most of the time. Amy is the mercurial yet well-meaning ingenue, who usurps Jo and goes to Paris with Aunt March (Meryl Streep) who portrays her role icily, the sort of aunt you'd like to leave locked in an attic. Overall a joy to watch. 9/10.

I HAVE LOVED YOU EVER SINCE IVE KNOWN YOU JO I COULDNT HELP IT IT WOULD BE A DISASTER IF WE GET MARRIED IT WOULDNT BE A DISASTER WED BE MISERABLE JO I WOULD BE A PERFECT- I CAAAANT. Εξαιρετικη και η εκτέλεση του τραγουδιου. Ελπίζω να κυκλοφορήσει το soundtrack της ταινίας. 2:15 το κόκκινο μπαλόνι του pennywise ( IT. Indian DH rider Piyush Chavan during 1st Himalayan Downhill Mountain Bike Trophy held at Himalayan Mountain Bike Festival. Part of the Sarajevo urban downhill downtown race track. Downhill mountain biking ( DH) is a genre of mountain biking practiced on steep, rough terrain that often features jumps, drops, rock gardens and other obstacles. Downhill bikes are heavier and stronger than other mountain bikes and feature front and rear suspension with over 8 inches (20 cm) of travel, to glide quickly over rocks and tree roots. In competitive races, a continuous course is defined on each side by a strip of tape. Depending on the format, riders have a single or double attempt to reach the finish line as fast as possible, while remaining between the two tapes designating the course. Riders must choose their line by compromising between the shortest possible line and the line that can be traveled at the highest speed. If a rider leaves the course by crossing or breaking the tape they must return to the course at the point of exit, unless they do not gain a time advantage from crossing the tape, in which case they can continue with their run. citation needed] Riders start at intervals, often seeded from slowest to fastest, and courses typically take two to five minutes to complete with winning margins being often less than a second. Riders are timed with equipment similar to that used in downhill skiing. [1] History of competitive racing [ edit] The 1st downhill time-trial race took place in Fairfax, California on October 21, 1976 on a fireroad now referred to as Repack Road, 2] 3] 4] due to the need to repack the hub brake after each descent. [5] The bikes used were based on cruiser bicycles that had a drum or coaster brake that worked by pedalling backwards. The mechanism operated with a conical brake shoe being wound on a thread in a metal hub. To prevent the brake from seizing it was kept filled with grease. Heavy use during the descent would cause the brake to over heat, softening the grease and causing it to drain from the hub, requiring frequent repacking. Ten riders descended 1, 300 feet (400 m) of Repack road in about 5 minutes. [6] The first bikes used for descending were known as "klunkers" or "paperboy bikes. sturdy cruisers using balloon tires and coaster brakes, designed by Ignatz Schwinn during the Great Depression. [7] The bikes could endure abuse that would damage other bicycles by changing features from the Henderson and Excelsior motorcycles his company had built during the 1920s, including a heavy "cantilevered" frame with two top tubes and 2. 125-inch-wide (54. 0 mm) balloon" tires from Germany. Innovations like the fat-tire Schwinn with derailleur gears by Russ Mahon [5] of The Morrow Dirt Club in Cupertino at the 1974 Marin County cyclo-cross and Gary Fisher's [5] 1975 use of a tandem rear hub (from a flea market) with a drum brake threaded for a freewheel cluster developed the sport, and by 1979, two organizers and competitors of the Repack downhill, Charlie Kelly [5] and Gary Fisher founded the company which named the sport, MountainBikes. [8] As mountain biking grew during the 80s, downhill riders continued to use either rigid or limited-travel (under 2 inches (5 cm) suspension bicycles. Purpose-made downhill bikes started to appear in the 90s, with innovations such as dual crown forks and disc brakes, as well as more elaborate suspension designs. Later, riders from other disciplines began focusing on downhill, such as BMX racers Daniel Solano (Team Tomac Bikes) and Brian Lopes. Their influence is seen in the increased difficulty of many courses, with bigger jumps and drops added. The coming of age for downhill biking was its inclusion at the first UCI Mountain Bike Championship, held in 1990 in Durango, Colorado. Notable downhill racing venues [ edit] Many ski areas are converted into downhill mountain biking venues in the summer, such as Whistler Mountain Bike Park and Fernie Alpine Resort, 9] and many all-season downhill trails have been specifically developed. At some courses, bikers ride gondolas, trams or chair lifts to the starting point, or "shuttling" with motorized vehicles is used to transport riders to the top of the hill. Others are accessible by riding (or pushing) bicycles to the starting point. Urban downhill courses have also appeared in mountain-side cities, with the courses going through city streets and sidewalks, such as the Taxco Downhill event in Mexico. [10] Courses used in competition often feature several "lines" through or around difficult obstacles. For example, the "A line" might be a direct line over a large jump with a sketchy landing, the "B line" a smaller jump with a better landing, and the "C line" completely avoids the jumps, but may take longer. Australia [ edit] The 2009 UCI World Mountain Bike Championships in Australia. Australia has produced a large number of internationally successful downhill racers, including Sam Hill, Chris Kovarik, Nathan Rennie and Mick Hannah. The large majority of Australian downhill riding and racing is accessed by shuttling in cars, buses or by walking to the top of the track (push runs) however the venues at Mount Buller and Thredbo provide lift accessed tracks during the snow less summer months. Mount Stromlo, which is near the capital Canberra, hosted a World Cup Round in August 2008 and the 2009 World Championships. The top can be accessed by either riding up singletrack, or by shuttling via the road. Australia's first UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was held Cairns in 1994-1995. followed by the World Mountain Bike Championships in 1996 and again in 2017, placing Cairns on the map as the premier Australian mountain bike destination. citation needed] Austria [ edit] Located right in the Alps this country has a lot of places for downhill riding. A large majority of Austria 's downhill tracks are accessible via lift shuttles. A World Cup track called the "Planai" is located in the city of Schladming. It is about 5 km long with an average descent grade of about 35. citation needed] Bolivia [ edit] Most of Bolivias downhill riding is done in the Andes Mountains in and around La Paz. In the city you have Pura Pura; a few trails through the forest. Camiraya at the outskirts of La Paz has more and longer trails. A little further out in Sorata, you have the Loma Loma and Chu Chu trail. There are also trails in other parts of the country, for example in Cochabamba and Potosi. Bosnia and Herzegovina [ edit] Bosnia and Herzegovina is rich with mountains especially around the capital city of Sarajevo, in which a downtown race is held, although MTB and downhill especially are still developing to become known sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are more and more riders which use mountains like Igman, Bjelašnica and others for downhill racing. Currently there are few tracks on Trebević, Igman, Bjelašnica, Cavljak - Barice, all featured tournaments on international level. UXO 's are one of the reasons for slow development of this sport in a country with a such great potential for it. citation needed] Canada [ edit] Canada is famous for its downhill racing as well as other sorts of mountain biking. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park in Whistler, British Columbia hosts the annual Crankworx and Joyride Huckfest racing events. The province of British Columbia is also home to several other large lift-serviced mountain bike parks, including Sun Peaks in Kamloops, BC, Silver Star Mountain Resort in Vernon, BC, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, BC and Fernie Alpine Resort. The North Shore Mountains of North Vancouver, BC, are a famous downhill biking destination in their own right. The popular style of technical downhill freeriding that involves many man-made trail elements originated here. The style is often referred to as "North Shore Style. " Canada has produced many world-class mountain bike racers, including downhillers Andrew Shandro and Steve Smith. The mount of Bromont, situated in Bromont, Quebec, and Mont-Sainte-Anne near Quebec City are great places for downhill biking. citation needed] Croatia [ edit] Finn Iles in the 2018 UCI Downhill World Cup at Lošinj, Croatia Downhill MTB races have been held in Croatia since 1993, when the first competition was organized outside Zagreb, on the same mountain that today hosts the world cup races in alpine skiing. Until the past 4-5 years, Mountain biking was banished from popular hiking trails and ski slopes around the capital. However, with the rise in popularity of DH and enduro, gravity) riding, Trail managers have relaxed and along with allowing riders, have begun to allow for development of MTB specific trails, cooperating with the local riding community to communicate which trails are acceptable and which are not. Additionally, the area known as 'Grma' has seen the growth and development of DH specific trails. The art of MTB DH riding flourished in other parts of Croatia, especially in the northern Adriatic coastal region and in northern (continental) part of country. In 2010 the national DH Cup events were held in Buzet (Istria) Samobor (Zagreb area) Pakrac (Slavonia) and Gracisce (Pazin, Istria. Additionally, multiple enduro races around the country are now part of an annual 'Cro-enduro' series and the fall of 2017 saw organization of first ever Croatian Enduro National Championships. Urban downhill events are also held in the coastal city of Rijeka. citation needed] 2018 saw the first UCI Mountain Bike World Cup held in Croatia, on the island of Lošinj. France [ edit] Downhill mountain biking near Belfort, France The French Alps are home to many downhill routes [11] and events. The most famous of which is the Mega Avalanche downhill race event in the Alp d'Huez and Bourg d'Oisans region. Another downhill course in the region is Les Deux Alpes which sometimes hosts other downhill events. The downhill courses and events are limited in the area however, because of the alpine winter and snow. The most popular area for downhill in the French alps is the Portes du Soleil including the two more popular resorts of Morzine and Les Gets. Most recently, a world cup was held for the first time in La Bresse. In August 2011, La Bresse hosted the sixth round of the UCI World Cup. Since 2015, Lourdes hosted a World Cup round each year. Georgia [ edit] The first downhill trails in Georgia were developed in 2015. Among the first built was in Gudauri, followed by trails in Bakuriani. Both of the places are also ski resorts. Trails are at 2000–2250 meters, with trail lengths of about 5000 meters. citation needed] Germany [ edit] In Germany the landscape is quite diverse, reaching from flatlands in the north to medium-sized mountains in the center to alpine mountains in the south. Downhill tracks in Germany are not as steep as in Switzerland, Austria or Canada and the difference from top to bottom is less, but the main parts of an average track are everywhere in Germany. Racing on these short tracks is highly intense and allows no mistakes. Due to the country's large population the sport has developed quickly in Germany. Number of riders can go up to 600 at races. With 3 cup races, Thuringia, in the middle of Germany, is the center of gravity riding. The most popular race series is the 'iXS German Downhill Cup. In Germany is the Europe's biggest Mountainbike Freeride Festival hold, called iXS Dirt Masters. It includes one iXS German Downhill Cup Round, a 4X Race and a slopestyle contest. It is visited by around 25000 spectators and 1200 riders. In the small town Willingen is a former World Cup Downhill and Four Cross Race Course. The World Cup has been held there in 2005 and 2006. With Germany being a high level industry country, there are many firms producing downhill bikes, such as Last Bikes, Zonenschein, Fusion Bikes, Cube Bikes, Ghost Bikes, Canyon Bikes, Propain Bikes, Rose Bikes, Solid Bikes as well as boutique bike manufacturers Nicolai and Liteville. There are also a lot of firms producing high-end parts like Rohloff, Magura or Tune. citation needed] India [ edit] A scenic view in India at elevation 5, 600 metres (18, 400 ft. Just across the border in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland however, Newry & Mourne District Council has recently built some tracks in Kilbroney Forest which includes a 27 km and 17 km single track and 2 purpose-built downhill trails. According to the law it is illegal to ride in the forests. citation needed] All the tracks are built and maintained voluntarily by individuals and mountain biking clubs who take it upon themselves to do so. As downhill mountain biking has become more popular so has the call for more facilities and practitioners of this sport have begun campaigning with the state on this issue. Plans have recently been announced for the construction of a purpose built downhill facility near Glenflesk in County Kerry. It will be the second highest downhill course in Europe. citation needed] Italy [ edit] Bardonecchia, one of the Torino 2006 winter olympic venues, converts some of its ski courses and lifts for use by mountain bikers in the summer, and a number of downhill courses are present. Whereas the other alpine skiing events ( slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom, and combined) emphasize turning and technique, downhill emphasizes "the six components of technique, courage, speed, risk, physical condition and judgement" according to the FIS "International Ski Competition Rules (ICR. 1] Speeds of up to 130 km/h (81 mph) are common in international competition. Athletes must have an aerodynamically efficient tuck position to minimize drag and increase speed. [2] The term, downhill skiing" is also used as a synonym for alpine skiing as a recreational activity. [3] 4] History [ edit] The rules for downhill skiing competitions were originally developed by Sir Arnold Lunn for the 1921 British National Ski Championships. A speed of 100 miles per hour (161 km/h) was first achieved by Johan Clarey at the 2013 Lauberhorn World Cup, 5] beating the previous record of 98 mph (158 km/h) set by Italian Stefan Thanei in 2005. [6] 7] Course [ edit] The FIS has rules for downhill courses that encompass their general characteristics, width, safety precautions, vertical drop, course length, style and placement of gates. [1] General characteristics – As a test of "technique, courage, speed, risk, physical condition and judgement" the course requires the athlete to adapt to the technically demanding terrain and layout of gates. Width – Courses are typically 30 metres (100 ft) wide with allowances for the approaches to "lips, drop-offs and jumps. Safety – Obstacles on courses are expected to be protected with nets, fences, or pads. Vertical drop – Vertical drop ranges from 450 to 1, 100 metres (1, 480 to 3, 610 ft) for men and 450 to 800 metres (1, 480 to 2, 620 ft) for women. Races with two runs may be shorter. Course length – Courses require an accurate means of measurement for length. Gates – Gates consist of pairs of twin poles with a rectangular panel between the poles. Gates have an 8-metre (26 ft) or larger opening. Equipment [ edit] Equipment for the downhill is different from the alpine events that are lower-speed. Skis are 30% longer than those used in slalom, for more stability at high speed. They usually have rounded, low-profile tips rather than pointed tips. Ski poles are bent so as to curve around the body as the racer stays in a "tuck position" and may have aerodynamic, cone-shaped baskets. As in other alpine disciplines, downhill racers wear skin-tight suits to minimize drag, and helmets are mandatory. In an attempt to increase safety, the 2003–2004 season saw the FIS increase the minimum sidecut radius for downhill skis to 45 metres (148 ft) from 40 metres (131 ft) and impose minimum ski lengths for the first time: 218 cm (7 ft 2 in) for men, and 210 cm (6 ft 11 in) for women. Races [ edit] In all forms of downhill, both at a local youth-level as well as the higher FIS international level, racers are allowed extensive preparation for the race, which includes daily course inspection and discussion with their coaches and teammates as well as several practice runs before the actual race. Racers do not make any unnecessary turns while on the course, and try to do everything they can to maintain the most aerodynamic position while negotiating turns and jumps. Unlike slalom and giant slalom, where racers have the times of two runs combined, the downhill race is a single run. Times are typically between 1½ and 2½ minutes for World Cup courses and must be over 1 minute in duration to meet international minimum standards. Tenths and hundredths and, occasionally, thousandths of seconds count: World Cup races and Olympic medals have sometimes been decided by as little as one or two hundredths of a second, and ties are not unheard of. The most successful all-time winners of World Cup downhill races are Annemarie Moser-Pröll of Austria (36 wins, 7 women's titles) 8] and Franz Klammer of Austria (25 wins, 5 men's titles. 9] Lindsey Vonn of the U. S. is currently dominant in woman's downhill racing with a lifetime total of 37 World Cup downhill wins and 7 women's titles. [10] 11] Risks [ edit] On some courses, such as the Lauberhorn course in Wengen, Switzerland, and the Hahnenkamm course in Kitzbühel, Austria, speeds of up to 150 km/h (93 mph) are common. Safety netting and padding are placed where race officials anticipate potential crashes. Despite these safety precautions, the ski racing community is well aware of the inherent risks of downhill skiing, for it is possible for racers to suffer serious injury or death while practising or competing. Three deaths among World Cup racers in recent years in downhill training or during a race were those of Austrians Gernot Reinstadler (1991) and Ulrike Maier (1994) and France's Régine Cavagnoud (2001. Also in 2001, Swiss downhiller Silvano Beltrametti was paralyzed in a high-speed crash and 1984 Olympic gold medalist Bill Johnson suffered permanent brain damage that eventually led to a crippling stroke which left him unable to function without assistance. Most recently Frenchman David Poisson was killed in a training crash in 2017. Speaking to media after Poisson's death, French former downhiller Luc Alphand noted that "eliminating risk entirely in downhill is impossible. 12] Men's World Cup podiums [ edit] In the following table men's downhill World Cup podium results in the World Cup since the first season in 1967. [7] Winners receive a distinctive crystal globe. Gretel & hansel& 39. january 31. Level 1 Hänsel? Hääääänsel? level 1 "There's a storm coming. Talk about uninspired dialogue. level 2 This wasn't part of the deal level 2 I was hyped when the teaser came out months ago. The trailer? Not so much. level 2 "Careful over there dear, I'd hate for you to start something you can't stop. Yikes. level 2 Completely agree. Buuuuuuut, I don't care too much tbh because this story has been retold for generations so I think much of the plot, dialogue & exposition isn't really the vehicle driving this film. Just a personal opinion. The way this is shot is the only reason why I'm gonna catch this one. Oh my god I cannot wait to see these shots in a theater, this is gonna look exquisite. I very much feel a lighthouse vibe. level 2 "You're like a kite in the wind, Gretel. level 2 "There's a storm coming. Worked pretty good in the original Terminator. level 2 It's the trailer editor trying to warn us. level 2 The visuals look amazing though. Except that line it seems more than decent. level 2 What? They were just looking at the weather level 2 Is there someone we can talk to about retiring this line from screenplays forever? level 1 As a horror fan I hope this is good, but I'm getting the sense from this trailer that it's gonna be crap.

Gretel & hansel reaction. Gretel & hansel (2020. In this eerie yet underdeveloped take on the well-known fairy tale, two siblings find food and sorcery deep in the woods. Credit. Orion Pictures Gretel & Hansel Directed by Oz Perkins Fantasy, Horror, Thriller PG-13 1h 27m More Information The director Osgood Perkins specializes in not-quite-horror movies: eerie, patient, female-centric tales that hint at far more than they reveal. In “I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House” (2016) he teased a standard haunting into a conversation between life and death. And with the more bloody “Blackcoats Daughter” (released in the U. S. in 2017) he used shifting timelines and an isolated girls boarding school to examine grief and abandonment. “Gretel & Hansel” finds him relying once again on atmosphere over narrative. Flipping the title of the well-known fairy tale, he sends the two siblings (confidently played by Sophia Lillis and Sammy Leakey) into the deep, dark woods. Famine and disease have ravaged the countryside, and the childrens distraught mother, unable to feed them, has cast them out to fend for themselves. A friendly hunter (Charles Babalola) warns them not to talk to wolves, however seductive; but its their human counterparts who are more to be feared. “Are you intact? ” a leering nobleman asks the teenage Gretel in response to her pleas for a housekeeper position. And when, starving, the two are enticed into the suspiciously food-filled cottage of an old crone (an unsettling Alice Krige) the vile secret behind her abundant vittles might put you off your own. Essentially the story of a young woman coming into her power, “Gretel & Hansel” is quietly sinister, yet too underdeveloped to truly scare. Together, Jeremy Reeds production design and Galo Olivaress photography weave a chilly spell thats regrettably undermined by the opacity of the storytelling. Like our two babes in the wood, the movie needs a bit more meat on its bones. Gretel & Hansel Rated PG-13 for bloody offal and sickening sweets. Running time: 1 hour 27 minutes.

I don't watch a lot of movies, so maybe parts of this were over my head and that's why I didn't like it. It was really slow and the good parts were really rushed. A lot of things didn't make sense to me, and I couldn't make out some of the dialogue. There were a couple of intentionally comical bits of dialogue which I felt took away from the dark feel of the movie. Why would they walk into a house that was seemingly abandoned but there was a fire burning in the fireplace and decide it's a good idea to sleep there. There was also a wagon burning in the yard. What was the zombie thing? Why did the door of the witch's house have a star of David pattern? When Hansel went through the window into the witch's house, Gretel was looking through a hole to watch him. The camera cut to inside the house looking at Gretel's eye looking through a triangle which looks like the Illuminati symbol. I don't understand the significance of that. What was the Vaseline goop that the witch and Gretel used, and how/why was that the source of their power to move things? Why does the original evil entity witch thing say to Hansel "the question in your head is what's in the shed. And why is it supposed creepy/scary for there to be lots of sharp things, and he's sharpening a saw, when that never comes into play. If the original evil entity witch thing is part of this series of events, why doesn't Gretel have to face off with it too after she kills the witch, or at least mention that it's still a thing? After Gretel sends Hansel into the woods, and wakes up without him in the bed next to her, she goes into the house and looks out the window. There is something walking away from the house but I couldnt make out what it was or the significance of it. If the witch gets into the basement oven room by liquifying herself, how did Hansel get there if Gretel has to break the board away from the door to get there? And how does the food get up into the main part of the house? If she only has one barrel of kid parts, why is she wasting so much of it to make food for the kids? Seems like she uses a whole kid's worth of parts for one meal. Maybe the whole movie was a bad trip from the mushrooms they ate in the forest. Oh, also when they are the mushrooms - at one point they show Hansel walking towards the tree behind Gretel and then he's just not there anymore. However, the audience score is a measly 20. Yay or nay? level 1 Just got out of it. If you like similar movies as stated, then give it a shot. Otherwise, don't waste the reservation & see something better. I was bored the whole time. It should maybe be called a thriller. A horror movie it was not. The dialogue alone is enough to make me give it a 0/5. level 1 Awful. It was pretty to watch but the dialogue/plot is trash. Go watch the vvitch if you want something similar that is actually well made. level 2 Was it worse than The Turning? Cannot imagine anything worse. level 1 Not much substance, but plenty of style. Its fine, but wholly missable. level 1 It wasnt amazing but I found it good enough to watch. If youre a horror fan, like myself, I would say you should watch it. The visuals are cool, and the vibe is nice. level 1 Alright, just saw it. Think THE WITCH but without the talent. I think that sums it up well. level 1 I really loved it. Take this test to see if you will too. Did you like The Witch, The Lighthouse, It Follows or The Babadook? If so then youll like this too! Its very atmospheric and its dialog treats you like an adult. Even if you hated it, you have to admit its a nice pallet cleanser from the heaps of Blumhouse and Conjuring universe they shove down our throats. level 2 I loved all of those films you mentioned— though I am a huge fan of The Conjuring films. I guess Ill check it out then. Might as well since AMC has already gotten their money from me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ level 1 I wasn't going to see this but the negative reaction makes this a must-see. Audiences are motivated to "like" what they've enjoyed before in the same genre and critics these days are hellbent on projecting some personal gripe into every movie. Sounds like this movie pisses people off. I'm in! level 2 My sentiments exactly. Im fan of the genre so Im in, especially since I probably skip the Turning.

Level 1 Sure, why wouldn't it start with a single piano note. level 2 It's just one "BWAAAHHHH" short of a perfect trailer level 2 Not only that, but also the "mini trailer" before the trailer also starts with a single piano note. We get TWO IN A ROW AND THEN SOME MORE! level 2 Thanks for pointing that out. Although I will say that the fire fighter scenes were pretty intense regardless if they were only training or had to attend buildings that were on fire due to fireworks.
I understood this films backdrop involving the feeling of losing someone through drowning and honestly the ending was a near hard hitter for me. However I would have liked if the couples experience together was more in depth because as I said yet again, it was rather rushed. It didn't give much in depth either with the other guy who had a crush on her or if he was going for someone else. Since I'm not gonna say spoilers to telling you who's who, it's best to watch the film.
Animation wise, it was pretty alright. Not amazeballs but it was easy on the eyes at least.
As much as the film did offer a bit of emotion, it's not the ultimate worse or disappointment I've ever seen. However room for improvement is what it definitely definitely needs in terms of story pace development.

Az Ãtok hÃz o. Udh prnh nnton. Film bagus & serem... Az átok háza 2019. You dont even need to watch the review just look at the thumbnail - love you Chris <3. Az átok háza videa. I love the grudges, depending on what versions ur watching, lets see what this one does. I work in a small chocolate company. Our sales team of 11 were busy over Christmas and New Year because thats the best time to promote sales, during the day we would run around the town and in the evenings we stay in office counting and preparing orders, and would sometimes stay as late as 2am despite our working hours of 8-6. Maggie is the only one among us who did not stay after 6pm during this period, as she has 3 children at home and she also took 3 days off during Christmas to bring her family to her hometown. While I don't judge her for that, it is apparent that she did not contribute as much to the company during the festival period as the rest of us. Since the busiest time are over, I felt that I should show appreciation for the team for the hard work and bought 9 boxes of(rather expensive, even for staff purchase) imported chocolates from the company. I gave every one of them a box with the new year wishes, except for Maggie. Not grudge or whatsoever, just felt that it would be unfair for the others if I give it to her too. Maggie has been complaining about it, saying that I was being unfair and punishing her when she worked just as hard, if not harder than the rest of us to balance work and family during this period. My other colleagues have split opinions about this. Some said that I am free to do whatever with my money and she shouldn't demand for it(I am not manager btw) the others said that it is bad for team spirit to single her out, and I should be more considerate for a mother of 3. AITA? To add: I have nothing against Maggie. It is just that all of us worked very hard over the past weeks and I think that by giving her too it kind of demean the act of appreciation for the other 9 who sacrificed their own holiday and family time to work.

It scares the crappie out of me evrey single time.

I think A new nightmare is a great ending to the series. Everything that follows is just chasing money. No englund, no Freddy. If this goes well, well release: Beauty sleeping. Are you suggesting that the legal system needs to be reformed so that this sort of egregious injustice doesn't happen again, or that the legal system is fine the way it is and you hope that the kindergarten teacher's civil suit is successful? If the former, other than the garden variety criticisms, that: SJWs/liberals/leftists are all against due process rights (or something to that effect. Child Protective Services (staffed entirely by Women's Studies degree holders) should be labelled a terrorist organization. *The incidence of false accusations is much higher than is reported (for all sexual crime. Especially, accusations made by mean-spirited feminists. *False accusers should be given the same jail sentence as the one the innocent target would have gotten, if found guilty. [The parents of the children, presumably, rather than the children. False accusations should be charged in the same way as defendants may be charged with "conspiracy" or "attempted murder" on the criminal side) and that free speech rights should not be a defense against defamation (on the civil side. Again, the parents, not the children. And perhaps, that those accused of these sort of crimes should have their names kept private, so they suffer no damage to their reputation, until they've had their day in court. Which are very well travelled over at r/unpopularopinion. Do you have any other policy proposals that would eliminate the egregious injustice faced by the kindergarten teacher in your video? For example, a serious impediment to justice in this case is likely to be the legal doctrine of prosecutorial immunity. Assuming the police department (and named individual personnel) in her suit are also granted immunity, this would remove those individuals/organizations with the deepest pockets from being held accountable. Should the school be held accountable for firing someone who has been charged with abusing her position as a teacher? Are you suggesting that the people responsible for interviewing children in these sort of cases should be better trained? How would you prevent this sort of injustice from happening again.

Az atok haza. Az átok hazan. I'm honestly searching for something positive to say about how the film looked and felt, but I can't; if this movie would've been made in the mid-2000s, the tone would've made a lot of sense, because this movie feels exactly like dozens of films from that era (including the 2004 American remake of "The Grudge. Horror flicks in the mid 2000s were full of spooky atmospheric music; shadowy, gross and gritty images; and they wouldn't be complete without dozens and dozens of JUMP SCARES! AH! SPOOKY! Jump scares require very little work from the filmmakers, and they also provide very little for the audience to hold on to; you build up to the scare and then, poof, it's gone. This film has more jump scares than it does any kind of atmosphere or actual scary moments, and now, after a decade of much better horror films like "Hereditary. The Witch" and "Suspria" those jump scares feel infinitely more juvenile and disposable.
Don't see this movie. Please, I'm begging you. I know that, because of the reviews this film has received, this film is doomed to fail, and I'm very glad for it. Horror movies have taken great leaps in the last ten years; let's not devolve back to films that feature stupid premises and stupid characters and are completely devoid of thrills. Skip this one, and try to forget it was made.

Add nerdy glasses to a pretty face and then call her geek or freak. Level 1 As a man I bawled my eyes out. She lost so much for nothing. Even though she was found not guilty 2 years of her life were stolen. She didn't get to raise her own daughter with motherly love. The legal system needs to punish these sick false accusations that happen so often in the modern world. level 1 Sounds like she was the victim of toxic femininity and rape hysteria. MRAs are fighting for protections for the accused, remedies for the falsely accused, and respect for innocent until proven guilty and a fair trial. level 2 100% this. Not punishing false accusers is almost the same thing as encouraging them. level 2 I wouldn't say it was toxic femininity. It was just a local women with a grudge and a psychotic disposition. And yes MRAs are a weaker group compared to feminism. I'd say they are on par with first-wave feminism, but as feminism has become 4th wave now and really wacky its really sad for the genuine feminists out there. We should all come together under the egalitarian banner. level 1 She is incorrect about interviewing children. Use time and patience, yes, however not repeating questions, ever.

TBC, 0 min Plot Summary Rani Mukerji had wowed us all with her brilliantly feisty performance in the super-hit Mardaani. She played the role of a daredevil Senior Inspector, Crime Branch, Shivani Shivaji Roy and took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket. It is official now that Yash Raj Films is making the sequel to this much loved movie and starting the Mardaani franchise. Over the years, YRF has excelled in discovering talented directors and Mardaani 2 will see the company launch Gopi Puthran, who incidentally was the writer of the first film. Produced by Aditya Chopra, this will be Ranis next release after the worldwide blockbuster Hichki that was hugely acclaimed by audiences and critics alike and marked her return to acting post pregnancy. Rani, whose performance in Mardaani Made it a cult film, says, Mardaani is and will always be extremely close to my heart. Right since its release, everyone has asked me time and again when I would be doing Mardaani 2 and Im sure this announcement will come as a pleasant surprise to them all. Gopi has written an extraordinary script that we all love and I cant wait to start shooting this film soon. She also gives a sneak peek into the character of the chilling villain who she will have a big face off with. Shivani will face a cold, merciless villain who has no empathy, no fear of God and is pure evil. The character has been written superbly and Im excited to find out who the actor will be, Rani adds. YRFs edge-of-the-seat entertainer, Mardaani 2, is set to go on floors next year and will release in the later half of 2019.
