Where are the the fan art they keep saying on Monday it been like 3or4 weeks now I have not seen a single one, and I like the art parts at the end. I have hands down had my worst year in many that preceded it. From getting laid off to my grandfather who raised me having a heart attack and ending up on life support after a triple bypass surgery just 3 weeks ago and everything in between that could possibly go wrong. I'm at the end of my rope here and hoping to hear back from a job I recently interviewed for in the hopes of getting back to a happier life. I'm at the bottom of my savings and spent all but. 05 cents on bills that were of the most importance. In the mean time I've been looking for ways to make even the smallest amount of money on the side. I overlooked the fact that I'm on my last asthma inhaler and do not have even the mere 20 to pick up my prescription. Aside from my normal triggers and bouts of shortness of breath I randomly wake up with attacks in the middle of the night and with everything I have going on it wasn't until I realized I had less than 10 puffs left in my inhaler with no back up because hey there were more important things than being able to breathe right? God please if there's any kindness left out there and someone could please lend me 20 for my prescription I would be more than happy to pay it back as soon as I possibly can, I've never asked the internet or strangers for monetary assistance but I'm truly desperate and I would not ask if it wasn't necessary. Thank you to anyone who even takes the time to read this, I'm just really hoping this one and only time I ask for the kindness of strangers someone will hear me.

Early last week I was stressing out about bills, loans, Christmas gifts, job interviews, and the usual family nonsense. I was suggested to try this sub after I posted a GoFundMe link in another sub. I admittedly didn't think I'd get much traction, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. Boy, was I struck by the response. Everything I put up on my wishlist was gone in a day. I had multiple DMs from some extremely generous folks. I had to turn things down out of sheer principle. There was no harsh judgments or lecturing on why I needed help, or what lead to it. I have months of food and supplies from the generosity of complete strangers, who trusted I needed help. That was extremely humbling, and I can't quite put into words what I feel about it. I was going to hold off a bit longer until all of the items came in, but I know it's a week before Christmas, and everyone is getting busy. There's a lot that has already came in, and I have your little notes from Amazon. I'll be sending out a thank you to the ones I've collected so far. I also had 3 successful job interviews last week, and another follow up interview this Friday. So I'm hoping to hear back from a few places this week. I may finally land something that pays a livable wage and covers my student loans. It's been a hell of a year. Wish me luck. Edit: Follow up interview went well. Waiting to hear back from them Monday. I also wanted to say that a lot of items have NOT shown up yet. No rice, spices, soap, and several other items were purchased from the list, and never showed up yet. I'm not sure of you could set a shipping date for the items to "surprise" me at a certain date, but I just wanted to keep people updated incase they were waiting for confirmation. I had a rice cooker on the list that was purchased, but never showed up. That was a big item, and I just want the purchaser to know I haven't gotten it yet. Which is starting to be a bit concerning, unless that was on purpose or you chose economy shipping.

Brett Leveridge was standing on the subway. A guy comes walking down the platform, stopping in front of each passenger and delivering a quiet verdict: You're in. You're out. You, you can stay. You — gotta go. Most people ignored the guy. But Brett found himself, against his will, hoping the guy would give him the thumbs up, and when the guy does, it's thrilling in a very small way: a tiny kindness from a stranger. Brett's story also appears on his website Brettnews, and you can see a graphic recreation of it in our comic book How to Make Radio. The Man at the Market When the supermarket clerk tallied up my groceries, I was 12 over what I had on me. But money was tight, so I asked the store owner if she could hold it for me. “May I buy the dress for you? ” asked another customer. “Thank you, but I cant accept such a gracious gift, ” I said. Then she told me why it was so important for her to help me. Shed been homeless for three years, she said, and had it not been for the kindness of strangers, she would not have been able to survive. “Im no longer homeless, and my situation has improved, ” she said. “I promised myself that I would repay the kindness so many had shown me. ” She paid for the dress, and the only payment she would accept in return was a heartfelt hug. –  Stacy Lee, Columbia, Maryland White Shoulders A woman at our yard sale wore a perfume that smelled heavenly and familiar. “What are you wearing? ” I asked. “White Shoulders, ” she said. Suddenly, I was bowled over by a flood of memories. Try these effortless ways to be nicer to people. Breaking Bread Last December, before work, I stopped at a deli and ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was toasty warm, and I couldnt wait to dig in. But as I left the store, I noticed an older indigent gentleman sitting at the bus stop. Knowing it would probably be his only warm meal of the day, I gave him the bagel. But all was not lost for me. Another customer from the deli offered me half of her bagel. Jimmy dusted off his pants. “My cancer didnt tell me not to help others, Doc, ” he said, before waving at the old man to start the car. The engine roared to life. My Commanders Call It was one of my first missions on a gunship during the Vietnam War. I was scanning for enemy fire when I spotted a bright object that looked as if it were coming straight at us. “Missile! Missile! ” I shouted into my interphone. The pilot jerked the airplane as hard as he could, dumping guys from one side of the craft to the next. Well, turns out the “missile” was a flare we had just dropped. Suffice it to say, the guys werent pleased. Back at the base, my commander put an arm around my shoulder. “Sergeant Hunter, ” he said, “you keep calling them like you see them. I pulled the card out of the envelope, and 100 dropped out—just enough to get me through the remainder of my trip. Later, I asked my neighbor why she had enclosed the money. The kindness of strangers (2019. Quotes tagged as "kindness-of-strangers" Showing 1-13 of 13 “Dear Child, Sometimes on your travel through hell, you meet people that think they are in heaven because of their cleverness and ability to get away with things. Travel past them because they don't understand who they have become and never will. These type of people feel justified in revenge and will never learn mercy or forgiveness because they live by comparison. They are the people that don't care about anyone, other than who is making them feel confident. They dont understand that their deity is not rejoicing with them because of their actions, rather he is trying to free them from their insecurities, by softening their heart. They rather put out your light than find their own. They don't have the ability to see beyond the false sense of happiness they get from destroying others. You know what happiness is and it isnt this. Dont see their success as their deliverance. It is a mask of vindication which has no audience, other than their own kind. They have joined countless others that call themselves “survivors”. They believe that they are entitled to win because life didnt go as planned for them. You are not like them. You were not meant to stay in hell and follow their belief system. You were bound for greatness. You were born to help them by leading. Rise up and be the light home. You were given the gift to see the truth. They will have an army of people that are like them and you are going to feel alone. However, your family in heaven stands beside you now. They are your strength and as countless as the stars. It is time to let go! Love, Your Guardian Angel” ― “You will find two kinds of people in the world. Some say that there are the bad and the good. But it isnt like that. Since what is good for one may be bad for another. No, that doesnt work. You have to depend on your intuition. “There are those who make you feel inside as if you are drinking a good, warm soup – even if you are hungry and the two of you have nothing to eat. In spite of that they nourish you. “And then there are those who cause you to freeze inside, even if you are sitting before a roaring fire and have eaten your fill. Those you should keep away from. They are not good for you, even though others might say that they are good people…” Bodil Bredsdorff, The Crow-Girl: The Children of Crow Cove “I pondered on this desert hospitality and, compared it with our own. I remembered other encampments where I had slept, small tents on which I had happened in the Syrian desert and where I had spent the night. Gaunt men in rags and hungry-looking children had greeted me, and bade me welcome with the sonorous phrases of the desert. Later they had set a great dish before me, rice heaped round a sheep which they had slaughtered, over which my host poured liquid golden butter until it flowed down on to the sand; and when I protested, saying 'Enough! Enough. had answered that I was a hundred times welcome. Their lavish hospitality had always made me uncomfortable, for I had known that as a result of it they would go hungry for days. Yet when I left them they had almost convinced me that I had done them a kindness by staying with them” Wilfred Thesiger, Arabian Sands “Whenever you're feeling lonely, remember that there are people in this world who bless every one of us before they go to sleep at night. They may have never met you, but their hearts go out to you. They are true angels. ” L. J. Kane “Frankie, I'm fully awake and more curious than George. If we hang up I'll lie here formulating a million reasons for your call, none of them your truth, and that would drive me crazy. You wouldn't do that to the guy who has your grandmother's old phone number, would you? Trust me, you can tell me anything. —Emerson” Liza M. Wiemer, Hello? “Good. Drink your tea. he ordered. "It will make you feel better. Nothing will make me feel better, she thought, but she drank it down. It was hot and sweet. Mr. Humphreys must have put his entire month's sugar ration into it. She drained the cup, feeling ashamed of herself. She wasn't the only one who'd had a bad night. ” Connie Willis, All Clear “There's no room for hate and violence in this world. We must learn to be more kind, compassionate, empathetic, and sympathetic to humanity. ” Germany Kent “If kindness wins, accountability rules. ” Galit Breen, Kindness Wins “Like thousands of others, we survived the storm and the many dark days that followed because of the kindness of strangers who brought food, water, and comfort. ” Vivek Murthy “Across generations, wariness of new individuals, groups, and ideas was built into the circuits of the human brain's alarm response because those who had this wariness were more likely to survive to reproduce. It was just safer to assume danger- and expect the worst- than to count on the kindness of strangers. ” Bruce D. Perry, Born for Love: Why Empathy Is Essential- and Endangered “The whistling dawn, the sussurration of the leaves, a honking goose, and then a sentimental confab at the Solid Rock Gospel Church with a wounded soul who poured his heart out to Press precisely because he was blind and therefore harmless. Since these individuals had no money, he couldn't give them financial advice, just wholehearted sympathy. As at the commune, a toddler might scramble into his lap, and while he petted the child its mother held a cookie to its mouth and another one to his to bite and chew. A world worth living in and for. ” Edward Hoagland, In the Country of the Blind “Pour God's love out of you in pitcher fulls, not thimbles. ” Shannon L. Alder “There seems to be a trend that I have noticed. It seems the more peace and love I wish on others the more peace and love come to me. ” Germany Kent.

The kindness of strangers 2019

Was dreaming big to see Defina from the Originals... such beauty. We need more of those movies. This looks so cute! Honestly cant wait to watch this. The kindness of strangers salka viertel. Just wanted to post about a couple of interactions I recently had, though, erring on the side of caution, I'll withhold names for privacy. Anyway, I've been playing permadeath on classic since I first started. I thought it was a fun idea. It was. But I really, really, really did not understand what that kind of commitment meant on an MMO. Dying was. painful. And I died a lot. Eventually, I got sick of dying. Plus, I really wanted to see more of the game than Elywnn, Westfall, Dun Morough, and Loch Modan. I figured moving away from permadeath would be the smart move. I'm not smart. In the end, I just couldn't shake the feeling that death was too cheap. Death is death; it should be something I feared more than a walk from a graveyard to my corpse or a bit of equipment damage. I needed a reason I could accept as a filthy Vorthos to let my character keep coming back. I figured I'd meet my unreasonable self in the middle. I was on an RP server; might as well roleplay it. And what would work better as a story to cheat death than a holy pilgrimage? My goal was simple in theory: hit level 10, forge 4 "sacred" items, then travel to the Alliance's three capitals to sacrifice 3 of those items in their cathedral-equivalents while keeping the last one as my "mortal tether. Unfortunately, I'm both bad and new at this game, so this was a little harder in practice. In fact, I ended up dying in Dun Morough. That would have been the end of my run if a passing priest had not revived me. For the sake of my sanity, I did not count that as a death. Eventually, I had accomplished everything I needed for my dumb and arbitrary challenge except sacrificing my last item in Darnassus. I really had no inkling how to get there, but I understood I would have to cross contested territory. Not exactly appealing under my circumstances. I decided a portal would work best. So I saved up. I heard 1 gold was typically the accepted tip, so I set that as my goal. When I finally made enough, I was proudly able to enter trade chat to request a portal. A gnome mage in Iron Forge took me up on my offer. I had promised 1 gold. I ended up paying him 1 silver. The mistake was entirely mine. As lame as it sounds, I am unused to the trade window. But the mage took it with good humor. He pointed out the error and then sent me through the portal. He also denied every effort I made to pay him the promised 1 gold. I guess what I wanted to say with all this rambling was thank you! I hear a lot about how great a community we have in Classic, but I also work in a public-facing position in government; I understand people are people, good and bad. But, speaking solely from personal experience, I'm seeing a lot more good here. P. S. To the human priest and gnome mage that helped a dumb paladin, thanks again. I know I'm repeating myself a lot, but it feels like I can't emphasize it enough. Permadeath was fun, but it was a super stupid idea in WoW.

He is a cop, and Clara is desperately trying to elude his attempts to pursue her. The three have little more than their car, and when this is towed away, they are left penniless on the street. But the big cold city shows mercy: in their search for refuge, the family meets a selfless nurse named Alice who arranges beds for them at an emergency shelter. While stealing food at a Russian restaurant called ‘Winter Palace, Clara meets an ex-con, Marc, who has been given the chance to help the old eatery regain its former glory. The ‘Winter Palace soon becomes a place of unexpected encounters between people who are all undergoing some sort of crisis and whom fate has now brought together. If there is any kind stranger with a spare larvitar or egg that he could trade with, youd make his journey that much better. His friend code is SW-1183-8236-7619. Thanks for hearing us out. The kindness of strangers nick cave. Level 1 Sweet! Was at my neurosurgeon for a checkup and he was wearing one. Probably the only one in my city. level 2 I wonder what he does for a living to afford a platinum Daytona! level 1 I thought my WG Daytona was heavy until I tried on one of those. The weight of the platinum Daytona when compared to its physical size takes a minute to process mentally. At least it did for me. level 2 Yeah the weight was crazy! I have a yacht master and my fiancés rootbeer feels heavy to me! This was crazy heavy! Loved it though, wish I had a hope in hell of ever owning one - amazing thing level 1 Suppose telling you they are fetching over 57k sterling wont help matters.
